Car top signs are everywhere. The one place that most people have probably seen them is on the top of a taxi. In that position they proclaim the name of the taxi company to whom the taxi belongs along with a number to dial should you need a cab in a hurry. But these signs can be used for more than just telling you who owns the cab that dinged your car.

Traffic is a fact of life and people spend a lot of time during the day stuck in some sort of traffic jam either to or from work. With a few well-placed car top signs as advertisements you can reach a large audience. A person sitting behind the wheel in a traffic jam is bound to look for something to occupy their time with and when their eyes alight on a sign that they can read you can be pretty sure that they will read it. While they may not react immediately, the fact of the matter is that you managed to grab their attention for a brief moment and now your business has been introduced to them. Just like the large signs on the side of a bus, car top signs can are more effective than most people think.

Car top signs are not just ways to advertise but also ways to identify. A pizza delivery car, for example, has a car top sign to indicate which pizzeria it is working for. The sign acts as both advertising and identifier. For one the sign tells the person looking the name of the restaurant that is delivering the pizza and supplies them with the telephone number of the place should the require it. On the other hand, it also identifies that vehicle as being part of that business. The second part is where car top signs can become troublesome. Most people never consider car top signs are effective ways to advertise.
